SANDY MAZZU

was an aircraft mechanic during WWII. Upon discharge, he went to work for Southwest Airlines and took flying lessons on the GI Bill. When he retired he was flying 747s as a captain.

is a retired MSgt and served with the 7th Marines in Korea.

 Richard Patrick

The picture of young Richard was taken at TBS graduation in 1971. He is Junior Past Commandant and is an asset to the detachment, helping out on most projects that are undertaken.

 
 

JIM NIVER

is one of the detachment's oldest  (longevity) members and has headed up a myriad of committees. He served as a first lieutenant but we don't hold that against him. He has been detachment Marine of the Year.

is a "good ole boy" who has all but deserted us and moved to Mount Olive. John has been detachment MOY and department MOY. If you want something done, ask John.

DAVID CROUCH

David has been an active member since transferring from the Sandhills Detachment several years ago. He is presently paymaster. His "then" picture was taken in 1972 while seving aboard the USS America aircraft carrier.

Another relatively new member, he has volunteered wherever and whenever necessary. Too bad the trip to Quantco didn't materialize. Keep at it, Marine.

A relatively new member, she has nonetheless volunteered on the convention commitee  and has offered her talents and expertise on several more. She is the Junior Vice Comdt. Brady is the present Sgt-at-Arms and also a very active member of the detachment. The picture was taken at Gitmo where he was runner-up for Athlete of the Year.

Another active member of our detachment, Robin's company handles all our embroidery.

A newcomer and real go-getter, Harry is proving a real asset to the Detachment.
